MINNESOTA ZOOAfter a year long search Coconut, the sulphur-crested cockatoo, was adopted in 1997, solely through a contribution of $5500 by St. MinneSomePlace raised through activities coordinated with the MN Zoo. Coconut is from Australia and is known for his high intelligence, loud screams and wonderful personality - much like the parrot heads of St MinneSomePlace! Each year, St MinneSomePlace donates money to the World of Birds program in support of Coconut and his fine feathered friends. St MinneSomePlace donated over $10,000 for the adoption and well-being of Coconut, who is currently performing in the "World of Birds" program at the zoo.  Genus & Species: Cacatua galerita.
