Saturday, 9/20, the Des Moines Parrot Head Club is having their
annual
Livingston Saturday Night PHlocking. Their band
for the PHlocking is "Too Drunk to Fish" which is one of the bands under
consideration for THR 2009, so if anyone goes down, give us a thumbs up
or thumbs down on the band.

The Voice of the
Wetlands All-Stars, featuring guitarist Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville,
Irma Thomas and Marva Wright, plus three of the four original
Meters, the Soul Rebels Brass Band and the Wild Tchoupitoulas Mardi
Gras Indians, will perform Sept. 1 at a Friends of New Orleans party
during the Republican National Convention in
Minneapolis
at First Ave.

Stone Band with Special Guest Brent Burns will entertain on a Sunset Sailing Cruise during MOTM on the Caribbean Spirit Catamaran on October
30th from
5 pm - 7 pm.
It is limited to 120 People and will include free snacks and free beer,
wine
and champagne.
The Caribbean Spirirt is a custom built 78 foot luxury vessel with a
spacious
sundeck, dual stairway to the sea, shaded seating area, and two large
restrooms. It has unique schooner rigging (TWO MASTS!).
