Jimmy Buffett's
sister Lucy, owner of Lulu's at Homeport, has released her new
cookbook. "Crazy Sista Cooking: Cuisine and Conversation with Lucy
Anne Buffett" is the next best thing to being there. "Inside you'll
find laugh-out-loud anecdotes, wit and wisdom from Lucy's own
kitchen, festive party menus, Buffett family favorites, and plenty
of telling it like it is." You can order the cookbook at:
http://www.crazysistacooking.com

newsletter, The Tradewind Times:

It's a good read and lets you know where your money is being spent
and has a good explanation of how Buffett tickets are distributed to
each club. Finally, there is one correction. The Online
registration for Meeting of the Minds (MOTM) closes on August 31,
2008 or when the number of registrants hits 3500, whichever comes
first.

We
have an opportunity for an exciting new event for our club and
need to find out how much interest there would be. We have
the chance to do a Parrot Head night at the Minnesota
Timberwolves! The event price would be $35/per person and
would include the following - Tickets for the Timberwolves
vs. the New York Knicks (not nosebleed seats and we would all be
together) - A private party with a catered buffet prior to
the game featuring entertainment by our very own "Jambo" Joe
Yira - Beer and cocktails would be available for purchase at the
party The date the Wolves have offered is Saturday March 22nd
which is the only home Saturday night game left this season.
That is the night before Easter so we realize that it may
conflict with Holiday plans or spring break trips. This event
would also be open to non-club members so bring your PHriends
and show them what Parrot Head fun is all about! This would
also be a great event to bring the kids and make it a PHamily
outing! We need to let the Wolves know by end of this week if we
want to go ahead with the event so please email
patrickobrien@keysbreeze.net and let him know if you are
interested and if so, how many people would be in your party.
