MAARS Based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul (Twin Cities) area of Minnesota, Midwest Avian Adoption & Rescue Services (MAARS) was founded in July 1999 to provide much-needed services for captive parrots and other birds in the Midwest in cooperation with other organizations around the USA and world. St MinneSomePlace has donated over $7,000 to MAARS as well as contributed volunteer hours in the care of the rescued birds in residence at MAARS, an avairy designed for the care and rehabilitation of these many birds ranging from Parakeets to Grand MacCaws.  In addition to the above:
In 2010, St MSP donated $1,000 to MAARS.
In 2011, St MSP donated $1,100 to MAARS.
