About 50 ParrotHeads, PHriends, and guests gahered at Jon and Kathy Iannazzo's on Saturday, 1/28, for a great concert by the Frozen Gringos, Hugo Duarte and Jeff Pike. Jon and Kathy were great hosts and Jon did a phenomenal job setting up his basement as the venue. Hugo commented that it was the best private venue he's ever played. The sliding window bar was a great touch, too.
The crowd was regaled with stories and songs from two of the pioneers of TropRock and a great imitation of our esteemed founder giving a long toast by Jeff. He had Jerry down to a 'T'. It was an evening of great music, good food, and all-around ParrotHeadonism.

The St MinneSomePlace PHlock was well represented at Down South in New Germany, MN, on Sunday, 1/29, for a concert by the Frozen Gringos, Hugo Duarte and Jeff Pike. Our PHriend, club member, and Down South owner, Jill Paehlke, had a grilled (yes, charcoal grilled) brats, Buffalo wings, and boiled sweet corn special for the crowd.
Hugo and Jeff were in great form and sang everything from early Buffett to The Lion Sleeps Tonight/Brown-Eyed Girl, originals like A Little Bit of Rain to Me and My Sail Boat. The Gringos are a great duo and their music is really special.
Hugo and Jeff finished off the evening with some of Jill's delicious pizza.
Hugo and Jeff were in great form and sang everything from early Buffett to The Lion Sleeps Tonight/Brown-Eyed Girl, originals like A Little Bit of Rain to Me and My Sail Boat. The Gringos are a great duo and their music is really special.
