Sunday morning bright and early (6:00 am), Heidi Wulf, Marilyn Listvan, Sue and Jim Hegarty, Karen Pettinger and her son William, Jon Iannazzo, Mark Gorman, and John Sherwin headed down to W. River Road under the Lake Street overpass to cheer on the runners in the Twin Cities 13.1 Race. We played Buffet/TropRock music loud and cheered for every last one of the runners. Several said that we were by far the best cheering section and a couple of the runners stopped to take our picture! It was a blast and we picked up $300 for one of our favorite charities - Store to Door!

CAJUN MARTINIS & AFTERNOON GOLF XIV
It took 3 tries (darn rain), but we finally got to play the 14th annual Cajun Martinis & Afternoon Golf. We went 13 years without a rainout, and then we had 2 this season! We had mostly sunny skies, temps in the low 80s and colorful carts and golfers. This was the closest contested event yet with all teams scoring between 69 and 73. We had 2 teams tie at 69, with the winner being crowned by having a better score on the number 1 handicap hole.

The individual event winners were:

Men's Shortest Drive: Jon Gaasedelen (defending his trophy)
Women's Shortest Drive: Marilyn Listvan
Mens Longest Drive: Vince Smale
Women's Longest Drive: Bridget Smale
Closest To The Pin: Chris Ross (edging out Denise Shaughnessy)
Longest Putt: Tim Buffham
Winning Team:
Lisa Kocon
Bob Kocon
Jodi Mruz
Terry Mruz

Again the big winner was the Alzheimer's Association of MN. We raised $430 for them this year. Looking forward to sunny skies for the 15th Annual Cajun Martinis next year.

Thanks,
Dave & Jon

The 18th Annual Holiday/17th Annual Anniversary and Member Appreciation (HAMA) Phlocking was a great success with over 150 ParrotHead PHriends braving the snow and icy roads to party with Matt Wahl, Jambo JoeBones and DJJeff Ragatz and his Ol' RCA Victrola.  The Phlocking went til the last Kocon Standing at about 2 am.  What a great time we had!

While we were partying, we raised several hundred dollars for Midwest Avian Adoption and Rescue Services (MAARS), got over 80 lbs of food for the PROP food shelf, and 111 toys for Toys for Tots.

PHINS UP to all the ParrotHeads that came with the Party with a Purpose attitude that we're known for no matter what our home latitude!
